The Duchess of Cambridge has “put her foot down” over the decoration of her new marital home, Kensington Palace.
Kate Middleton, the wife of Britain’s Prince William, has apparently had an array of candles and room sprays delivered to the 17-century palace in a bid to feel at home at her pending marital quarters.
The 29-year-old has reportedly spent £900 on an array of fragrances including lavender and sandalwood, and has ordered “minimalist” cushions to modernise the £19 million royal residence.
“Kate had little say in her marital home. But the only time she’s put her foot down was when it came to interior design. Kate has a keen eye for contemporary, effortlessly cool styling and was adamant she and William would make their home feel like a home – not a formal residence,” a source close to the star told British newspaper The Mirror.
