Eddie Murphy plots return to stand-up

Eddie Murphy is preparing to return to the stage as a stand-up comedian, but he insists it will be a year before he has enough material for a full show.

Before he became an in-demand film star, Murphy was one of the world’s top comics and could fill huge venues, like New York’s Madison Square Garden – and now he admits he’s itching to get back out there.

The Shrek star says, “Within the last six months or so, I started getting an itch to do it again. I started writing stuff… I was like, ‘I could go and do 15, 20 minutes right now. Maybe in a couple of months I’ll start working out again.’

“But it’ll take a year before I’m ready to go on the road… It’s gonna take at least a year to get the rust off; 20 years of rust.”Similar Posts:

Actress Lindsay Lohan is having financial problems on top of her troubled personal life. Read more on Lindsay Lohan below.

The actress is reportedly two months behind in rent and her landlord plans to evict her if she doesn’t pay soon. But Lindsay just paid her landlord $23,000 to bring her rent up-to-date.

Lohan isn’t making much income and her acting career has dwindled because of her substance abuse problems.

Friends of Lindsay’s are very worried about her well-being and fear she will die if she does not get help. And sources say Lindsay’s mother Dina is enabling her daughter by saying she is fine.

Lindsay has taken to her Twitter to lash out at her father, Michael Lohan, with claims of abuse.

She said that while growing up, her father “verbally/literally HURT my mother, brothers, sister Aliana … why, i ask u?”

She soon followed with another post saying:

“My father just sent me this as I was leaving my gym ‘I told you to stop Linds this is the last time… and take down the tweet about me HURTING MOM.. U will be getting a call from SOMEBODY today to end you.’”

Michael says his daughter is in big trouble and needs rehab.

“What Lindsay is saying on Twitter is nothing more than nonsense,” he told X17. “I hope everyone can see that now she’s really crying out for help. It she wants me to prove that what she’s saying is wrong, it would involve recordings and text messages that I have and I don’t want to do that.

“Obviously she realizes that I’m serious about getting her into rehab,” he added. “She’s beginning to panic because I’ve been contacting people around her, as well as attorneys of my own, to take measures to get her the help she needs.”Similar Posts:

Over the years, there have been celebrity couples whose commitment to each other have been nothing short of inspirational: Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward, Linda and Paul McCartney, Ozzy Osbourne and Sharon Osbourne, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver, and Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis. While, recently, there have been celebrity couples that have completely disappointed: Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston, Michael Jackson and Debbie Rowe, Elizabeth Hurley and Hugh Grant, Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey, Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger, and Leonardo DiCaprio and Gisele Bundchen. With the new decade a few days away, leading online dating websites Date.com (www.date.com), Matchmaker.com (www.matchmaker.com), and Amor.com (www.amor.com), polled thousands of single online daters and twitter followers, asking who they thought represented the best and worst celebrity couples of the decade.

This is one recent popularity poll that has President Obama on top, with 42% voting President Barack and Michelle Obama as the best celebrity couple of the decade. Celebrity parents Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s relationship followed shortly behind with 15% of the vote, while the union of Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore earned 11.5% of the vote for staying power. On the flip side, an overwhelming 50.5% of voters named the celebrity couple formerly known as Bennifer – Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez – as the worst celebrity couple of the decade. Following on their heels were realities worst parents and couples, Jon and Kate Gosselin (11.5%) and Britney Spears and Kevin Federline (10%).

In a new nationwide survey of thousands of male and female online daters, we asked: Who is the best celebrity couple of the decade?
